Associate Director, Texas State Initiatives
LaShonda Brown Hollins is an Associate Director of Workforce Programs Birth to 5 years old for Texas State Initiatives at the Children’s Learning Institute (CLI). The work stream for Workforce Programs Birth to 5 includes the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System (TECPDS), Texas Head Start State Collaboration Office (THSSCO), Texas Rising Star Implementation (TRS), and Texas School Ready (TSR). In November 2009, Mrs. Brown Hollins was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to serve on the Texas Early Learning Council and in August 2012, she was appointed chair of this Council.
Mrs. Brown Hollins is a proven visionary and strategic thought leader with nearly 25 years of experience in the field of early childhood education. She has progressed in the field and served in various senior level operational roles; National Trainer, Consultant, including Executive Director of the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children and Director of THSSCO and TECPDS.
Mrs. Brown Hollins received her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Dallas Baptist University and a Master’s degree in Organizational and Human Resource Development from Abilene Christian University.
