Research reveals that children who do not continue studying during the summer can lose up to two months of what they learned in the school year. Keisey Fumero, a doctor at UTHealth Houston, invites parents to carry out activities so that minors continue to advance in their learning. She recommends reading at least 20 minutes a day. “Kids who read at least five books over the summer start the school year more advanced,” she said.
