Through partnership with the Texas Education Agency and Texas Workforce Commission, the Children’s Learning Institute at UTHealth Houston hosted the TSR Early Childhood Summer Institute from 2011 to 2025. We hosted this annual event as a professional development opportunity provided free of charge to the Texas early childhood workforce. The TSR Summer Institute was known for its unique combination of presentations by both national research experts and experienced, hands-on trainers and coaches. In addition to training in the very best research-to-practice methods, attendees had the opportunity to network with more than 1,000 professionals from every variety of early care settings.
