CLI Co‑Director, Tricia A. Zucker, PhD, was a keynote speaker at the 6th Annual Literacy Matters Conference, hosted by Aldine ISD. The 2026 theme, “Our Story, Our Students: Strengthening Literacy Through Purposeful, Rigorous Instruction,” focused on how intentional, high-quality literacy instruction builds foundational skills, deepens critical thinking, and inspires a lifelong love of reading and writing. The free event was open to the public and took place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The virtual format allowed educators, parents, and community advocates to engage from anywhere—making Literacy Matters both accessible and impactful.
