Biography

Katie McConnell, PhD has a passion for public education and serving the most at-risk and marginalized student populations. At CLI, she provides leadership and direction for several programs focused on empowering the early childhood workforce and supporting early childhood programs’ access to high-quality resources to improve child outcomes, including the Texas Infant-Toddler Specialist Network, Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System, and CLI’s activities supporting Texas Rising Star.

Education & Training

Prior to joining the team at CLI, Dr. McConnell had a 20+ year career in public education and non-profit leadership. She obtained her Doctorate in Educational Leadership, specializing in Special Populations.
