At this year’s UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K Health Fair, Reach Out and Read Texas joined the festivities for the very first time—bringing the joy of childhood reading to an event focused on health, family, and community. The two‑day fair buzzed with energy as thousands of families explored hands‑on activities, health screenings, and interactive booths. Among them, Reach Out and Read invited visitors to pause and reflect on the books that shaped their childhoods, sparking warm conversations about the role stories play in early development.
