was invited to be the 2025 keynote speaker for the Week of the Young Child celebration hosted by Spring Independent School District. This annual event, sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, is a fun-filled week celebrating children, their teachers, families, and communities. This year’s event was held on Thursday, April 10, at the Randall Reed Center at Planet Ford Stadium. Dr. Fumero’s speech was titled “Coloring the Future: Honoring and Empowering Early Childhood Educators,” and it focused on just that, making sure early childhood educators felt appreciated, valued, and supported.
Dr. Fumero has been working closely with Spring ISD since 2022 and is excited to watch this research-practice partnership grow. Her work with the district is just one example of how such partnerships produce bright outcomes.
