Description of Project:
The proposed Phase 2 clinical trial will examine the effects of using bone marrow derived cells to treat severe traumatic brain injury in children. The study will test if these cells preserve injured brain tissue after traumatic injury. Preservation of brain tissue is associated with improvement in functional and cognitive outcomes. This study is designed as a prospective, randomized, placebo-controlled, blinded Phase 2 safety/biological activity study.
